
Dr. Suraj Shakya is a Clinical Psychologist with a strong interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychometrics. He holds an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (IOM, TU), and is PhD research focuses on psychological tool development. He is an International Diplomate and Certified CBT Therapist from the Academy of Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies (USA).
He is actively involved in clinical practice, CBT training, and supervision, and serves as a research supervisor for Master’s, M.Phil., and PhD programs in Nepal and abroad. He has worked as a consultant and technical resource person for various mental health and psychosocial support programs, including collaborations with national and international institutions (e.g., contributions to the National Mental Health Survey, NHRC, 2020). He provides clinical services at the Brain and Neuroscience Center and other centers, through in-person and online consultations.
